Schepen van Strijen tussen 1710 en 1737. In de jaren 1718/22 had hij landerijen in pacht van de kerk van Numansdorp, in 1725 kocht hij koren te velde. Bouwman op de hofstede Luchtenburg 1722 (Slijkerman). Met zijn vrouw genoemd als eerste bewoners van de hofstede Zeldenrust, aan de Oude Klemsedijk 3, die omstreeks 1700 gesticht is, hij bewoonde die boerderij tot zijn overlijden in 1737 (Heraut). In 1708 had Simon een geschil aan het ‘s-Gravendeelse veer met de deurwaarder Esasias Dalibert over het priseren van een varken en schreeuwde deze toe ,,wat donder kerel wat woudt gij mijn doen begrijpen, ick ruck u dadelijk aen stucken en zult mij van mijn bet niet ligten gelijck gij die van Strijen gedaen hebt met smockelarij".
