1935 deze foto is gemaakt ter gelegenheid van de 50 jarige bruiloft van mn overgrootouders Piet Bervoets en Marie Bervoets-de Geus.
In 1808 zijn m'n over-overgrootouders van Strijen naar Klaaswaal verhuisd, dus dit is een echt Klaaswaals familieportret.
Ze hebben hoofdzakelijk aan de Oud Cromstrijense dijk gewoond.
In 1935 droegen de ouderen nog steeds klederdracht.
Rechtsachteraan mn opa en oma, Thijs Bervoets en Driek Stolk. Opa werd in 1925 fietenmaker.
Linksvooraan mn vader Piet Bervoets.
De man achter opoe, met snor, is Arie van der Stel, getrouwd met Antje Bervoets, wonende op Stougie. 6 jaar na deze foto, in 1941, is hij, samen met 4 anderen opgepakt en door de Duitsers gefusilleerd, vanwege de hulp aan de inzittenden van een neergestort Engels vliegtuig.
