    GGNet heeft op 20 juli 2010 op het terrein in Warnsveld de oude katholieke begraafplaats in ere hersteld. Dat gebeurde ondermeer met de onthulling van een gedenksteen en een plaquette met daarop de namen van de ruim driehonderd cliënten die er tijdens de eerste zeven decennia van de vorige eeuw hun laatste rustplaats vonden. De begraafplaats kwam begin 2009 min of meer bij toeval weer aan het licht op een plattegrond van het terrein. Bekend was nog wel, dat tussen 1902 en 1965 patiëntenvan het toenmalige 'Groot Graffel' op het complex ter aarde werden besteld. Zonder steen en vaak in drie lagen. Slechts genummerde paaltjes markeerden de laatste rustplaats.

    Carel leed aan de ziekte van Huntington en was als gevolg daarvan opgenomen eerst in kliniek Ockenburgh dat tijdens de WOII is ontruimd (spergebied) en daarna in Groot Gaffel te Warnsveld
