    Wim wordt geboren op 12 april 1919 in Sint-Oedenrode als zoon van Bernard van den Biggelaar en Antje Maat. Hij groeit op met vier broers en drie zussen. Ten tijde van de oorlog woont hij bij zijn ouders aan de Eerschotsestraat.

    Wanneer de geallieerden troepen in de loop van 1944 optrekken door West-Europa, sluit Wim zich als gewapende verzetsman aan bij de Binnenlandse Strijdkrachten die de bevrijding van Nederland voorbereiden. Volgens de overlevering binnen zijn familie is Wim op 1 oktober 1944 onderweg naar zijn geliefde in Schijndel dat dan nog bezet gebied is. Onderweg wordt hij door de Duitsers doodgeschoten. Pas enkele weken later wordt hij in een graf teruggevonden en geïdentificeerd. Wim is 25 jaar geworden en wordt thuis in Sint-Oedenrode begraven.
