' Robert Gamage, Esq., Justice of the Peace for Glamorgan was born circa 1514 at Coety, Glamorganshire, Wales. He married Jane Champernoun, daughter of Sir Philip Champernoun, Sheriff of Devonshire and Katherine Carew, before 1531; They had 2 sons (John, Esq; & Thomas) & 5 daughters (Margaret, wife of Miles Matthew, Esq., of Thomas Lewis, Esq., & of Capt. William Herbert; Elinor (wife of William Lewis; Elizabeth/Anne/Catherine, wife of Watkin Lougher; Joyce, wife of John Gwyn; Joan; & Anne).1 Robert Gamage, Esq., Justice of the Peace for Glamorgan left a will on 27 October 1570.1 His estate was probated on 4 January 1571.1
