Na zijn overlijden werd er nog een 6e kind geboren en werd volgens gebruik naar zijn overleden vader Simon genoemd. Maria willemsen is nooit hertrouwd en heeft dus alleen haar 6 minderjarige kinderen moeten grootbrengen
