Notes about Arij Eijgenraam

 

Arij Eijgenraam hanteerde het familiewapen, zoals afgebeeld in bijlage 15. In 1929 heeft hij een gebrandschilderd raam geschonken aan de Grote Kerk te Vlaardingen. In dit gebrandschilderd raam was een afbeelding van de "Voorstelling in den Tempel" weergegeven. Rechts onderin dit raam was een afbeelding van het familiewapen te zien. Ook zijn er pentekeningen van dit familiewapen in het stadsarchief van de gemeente Vlaardingen aangetroffen, zie bijlage 15.

In de notulen van de kerkvoogdij d.d. maandag 9 dec. 1929 's-avonds 19:45 is het volgende te lezen:

"Het raam boven den uitgang Tuin Havenstraat, weergevend de "Voorstelling in den Tempel", wat aangeboden door thans wijlen den heer A. Eijgenraam Hzn. Helaas beleefde de heer Eijgenraam de plaatsing van dit raam niet meer; eerst na zijn overlijden kon het raam door de familie worden geplaatst."
