Jennie Sankey (van Eck) ;was born in Utrecht, Netherlands to Dirk and Cornelia (Rylaarsdam) Van Eck on January 1, 1899. She came to America at the age of 11 years. She lived in the Edgerton, Minnesota area until her marriage to David Sankey on February 16, 1919, when she moved to Chandler.
She was a member of the Christian Reformed Church of Chandler and the Senior Ladies Aid.
She passed away on December 23, 1989 at the Slayton Manor at the age of 90 years and 11 months.
Jennis is survived by nine children; Wilhelmina Aardem of Norwalk, CA; Cornelia Aardema of Jerome, ID; Johanna Kooiman of Lakewood, CA; Dorothy Nelson of Tulare, CA; David, Jr. and William both of Chandler; Lavina Kemp of Bath, ME; Harris of Chandler; Harvey of Elton, SD. Also surviving are 24 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren.
