Notes about William Power

Hello, I hope you don't mind the message. Came across the following entry on your, "All people at Oct 2021" tree --- William Power, 1845–1918, Birth 1845 • St. Patricks, Waterford, Ireland, Death 20 MAY 1918 • Waterford, Ireland. --- In case it throws off your research the birth and death are two different people. The one who died 20 May 1918 being my Great-Grandfather. His parents being Mathew Power and Ellen Fanning who lived in Upper Kilcullen, Faithleg, County Waterford. (census search forms will verify: http://censussearchforms.nationalarchives.ie/search/cs/home.jsp ). He was born about 1846 in Faithlegg as recalled from family lore and his journal is in the hands of my cousin his grandson. He married his first wife Anne Meaney in 7 Sept. 1868, they had five children three of whom died in childhood. His second wife Mary Ellen Power nee Power was the daughter of Michael Power and Margaret Martin, who had three other children in Waterford. I have had my DNA done on FtDNA originally (Family Finder) now uploaded to Gedmatch, where there are other Power descendants with kits. Not on your research interest list I know, perhaps it may help with your search. Regards, Frank, Waterford City, Ireland.

Re the Date of birrth on the photograph.

Frank Murphy about August 2022.
The date of birth would be just a guess as William, we now know was born in Faitlegg to Matthew Power and Ellen Fanning. No record ever having been found, just Willliam's word.
