Hi Brian,
Sorry I haven't managed to send the photo, my technical support has abandoned me due to the advent of a bit of sunshine!
My grand father was Charles Patterson who did indeed marry Elsie Setterfield. They had 2 children, Rupert, my dad and his sister Violet.
Grand father Setterfield, Joseph married Charlotte Stupple and they had 8 children, one of whom was Fred, your Aunt's father. G.Grandfather was a railway inspector - a wheel tapper and shunter! He was also a Bede's man at Canterbury. My father was very fond of his grandfather and talked of him a lot in his later years. His dad, CharlesPatterson, was a Sergent in the Surrey Yeomanry for many years and was quite harsh at home. My dad loved going to his grandparent Setterfield's as they were very warm and loving people. They lived in Roper Road in Canterbury at one time where Joseph had an allotment. Sadly my dad died 3 years ago. He was intensely interested in his ancestry and would have been very excited to know about Uncle Fred's daughter.
I will try to get the photos to you soon.
Regards Libi

Hi Brian,
Have attached the photo and will copy to your cousin who contacted me from the USA. I will let you have more photos...if you want or should I send directly to The States?
The photo is from about 1925...but I'm not sure it could be earlier. I will research further!
From left to right - top row first - Tom (Thomas), Tina ( Bob's wife),Fred (Frederick), Elsie, Bob (Robert), - bottom row - Joseph (Joe), Joseph Setterfield, Charlotte Setterfield (nee Stupple), Alice. Beat (Beatrice) and Nelly (Helen/Ellen) not in the line up. It was taken outside of 29 Roper Road. The monkey puzzle tree is no longer there!
I will let you have further details, but I haven't really been following the Setterfield line in as much detail, well not the brothers and sisters. I've done a lot of delving into Charlotte and Joseph's lines.
Regards Libi
