In this Census Susan is shown as older than William. William (42); Susan (44); Sarah (9); Henrietta (7); Lucy (3); William (2). 1861 Census - nephew Herbert Darke (6) is living with them (estimated birth date 1855 & born in Zeal Monachorum). Listed at home are Lucy (14); William (12); Frank (8). William is listed as a labourer and his son William is an errand boy. Living in Exeter St. Mary Steps. 1871 - still living at Rodgers Row in Exeter St. Mary Steps & his marital status is widower. William is a labourer at the iron works. Living with William at this time are Frank (18) who is a Confectioner; & Henrietta (27) who is listed as a house keeper & a lodger John Cridiford (27). 1881 Census he is living as a lodger at 77 Halloway St with the Dingle family & is listed as a Miller.
