Thanks for your response Brian. George's parents were William Hiscutt and Ann Payne of Longbridge Deverill in Wiltshire.

George had 10 siblings by William and Ann and a number left Wiltshire early in the 19th century. Should you ever wish to research the Wiltshire Hiscutts, let me know and I will send you what data I have. At the moment I am having trouble placing William Hiscutt and I suspect he was married at least twice - Ann Payne was his 2nd or 3rd wife.
