Susanna was also from the parish, and was probably the daughter of either Thomas Lynas(Lyniss) or Robert Lynas(Lyniss), who were recorded as residing in Drumgor in 1813. Lynas’ had lived in adjacent Moyraverty townland since at least 1658, and had been involved in the Quaker movement at that time. Railway Station, Portadown, Co Armagh Notes: DEATH Robert RUSSELL died 19th March 1927, Railway Station, Portadown, widower, age 78, labourer, died from shock the result of injuries received from his having been accidentally knocked down by a train travelling on the Great Northern Railway. Information received from W H ATKINSON, Coroner for Co Armagh. Inquest held on 19th March 1927 Belfast Telegraph, Mon 21 March 1927 PORTADOWN STATION TRAGEDY Aged Man Killed by Train Had Said His Last Goodbye A distressing accident occurred at Portadown Railway Station on Saturday afternoon, resulting in the death of a labourer named Robert Russell (78), a widower, who lived alone at Drumgor. It appears that the unfortunate man went to the station to say good-bye to some friends leaving for Canada, and when crossing the line was struck by an incoming train from Clones, and killed instantly. Mr W H Atkinson, coroner, held an inquest in the evening on the body in one of the waiting-rooms of the station............ Alex. Russell, Queen Street, Lurgan, son of deceased, said his father's hearing was not too good. He walked bent, owing to age and infirmity. The jury found a verdict of accidental death, and exonerated the train crew from blame. They expressed sympathy with the relatives of the deceased. Robert aged 80, Died from shock the result of injuries received by his having been accidentally knocked down by a train travelling on the Great Northern Railway.
