Notes about Willem Rochusz Schelling

Willem Schelling deed belijdenis te Klaaswaal op 24 mrt 1786. Bij zijn huwelijk wordt hij vermeld als "geboren te Klaaswaal en wonende den Hitsert", hij vertrekt op 30 sept 1792 met attestatie naar Zuid-Beijerland. Het echtpaar maakt op 7 jan 1793 een mutueel testament. Willem Schelling is sinds 1792 bouwman op de hoeve "Vredes Hope" aan de Noorddijk (ook wel Moffendijk) te Zuid-Beijerland. Hij is niet onbemiddeld, want in 1810 komt hij voor op de lijst van de 600 hoogst aangeslagenen in de belasting van Zuid Holland (1215 francs).
Zijn oudste zoon Rochus volgt hem op, maar deze vertrekt in 1821 naar de Hoeve Bouwlust aan de Molendijk 2 te Zuid-Beijerland. Willem Schelling overlijdt in 1835 en zijn weduwe Pietertje de Jong zet nu het bedrijf voort. De nalatenschap van Willem Schelling wordt gescheiden bij onderhandse akte op 27 sept 1835, het vruchtgebruik komt aan de kinderen.
