Door Bouw en Woningtoezicht Rotterdam is de nieuwe verbinding van het Martinplein richting van Mekkerenstraat het Alberta Wellingpad genoemd.

Volgens het politierapport was er bij de begrafenis weinig belangstelling en waren er geen demonstraties.

Door de stadsvernieuwing in Crooswijk veranderde het stratenpatroon gedeeltelijk. In 1986 werd een pad genoemd naar Alberta Welling-Rizaar (1858-1934); die op 10 juli 1934, midden in de crisisjaren, tijdens de huurstaking in de Isaäc Hubertstraat door een verdwaalde politiekogel werd gedood.
