Notes about Jan Regien


Jan was, nadat zijn vader Klaas in 1899 was overleden, de molenaar van Anloo. We zien dat hij, zijn moeder Hillechien en de andere erven de molen in 1908 te koop hebben gezet. Jan hield het voor gezien en ging verder als winkelier. Mijn opa Jan Roelof, Jan's jongere broer, zal tot die tijd op de molen hebben meegewerkt en moest dus gaan uitkijken naar een 'eigen' molen. Die vond hij in Gieten waar hij de molen kon pachten van de familie Homan.
