Notes about Petrus Antonius Adrianus Kollau

Van Pietje werd gezegd dat hij wees was en zijn vader en moeder niet gekend heeft. Hij was 5 toen zijn moeder, Adriana van Puijfelik, overleed. Zijn vader is een paar keer op bedevaart geweest naar Kevelaer. In 1900 worden Pietje en zijn nog levende broers ondergebracht in het Fraterhuis en Gasthuis. Als zijn vader terugkeert gaat Pietje mee naar zijn oom Adrianus, waar hij lange tijd blijft wonen samen met zijn vader. Vader Antonius kiest er in 1906 voor om in dienst te gaan in Harderwijk en wordt kort daarna uitgezonden naar Celebes, Nederlands Indie. Hierdoor blijft Pietje bij zijn oom. Zijn vader blijft 6 jaar in militaire dienst. Nadat vader is teruggekeerd in 1912 trouwt deze kort daarop met Pieternella Blakenburg. Zij gaan allen wonen in de Pironstraat 13.
