Hendrikus Johannes de Brouwer (Harrie), priester en leraar, geboren te Hilvarenbeek op 7 mei 1879, overleden aldaar op 27 april 1964, begraven aldaar op 30 april 1964. Evenals zijn oudere broer was hij lid van de congregatie der Fraters van Tilburg, waar hij intrad in 1896. Op 24 mei 1902 werd hij tot priester gewijd door mgr. Wilhelmus van de Ven. Met middelbare bevoegdheid-wiskunde en kandidaatsexamen-klassieke letteren stelde hij zijn leven in dienst van het katholieke middelbaar onderwijs aan het eerste katholieke gymnasium van Brabant te Tilburg. In het jaar 1916, toen de staat van de congregatie gewijzigd werd, ging hij met zijn beroemde broer in Tilburg samenwonen en samen gingen ze bij hun emiraat in 1940 naar hun geliefde Hilvarenbeek terug.
