Ik heb aanvullingen, correcties of vragen met betrekking tot Hendrikus Germanus [I2866]. Mijn vader, geb.24-8-1901, is overleden op 28-7-1981. Zijn moeder was Geesje ten Klei echtgenote van Roelof Germanus, mijn grootouders dus. Mijn grootmoeder is overleden in Lienden. Daarvoor heeft zij met mijn grootvader gewoond n Amsterdam op het adres Elandsstraat 145

Onderstaande tekst ontvangen van Joop Germanus.
Mijn grootmoeder is inderdaad in Lienden begraven. Dit kwam omdat zij daar bij haar dochter Geesje Zweers-Germanus woonde en wel op de steenfabriek "De Tollewaard". De man van mijn tante, Jan Zweers, was daar bedijfsleider . Mijn oma is onverwachts naar Lienden verhuisd. De oorzaak hiervan was dat mijn opa, toen hij in Amsterdam een wandelingetje ging maken en zijn huis niet terug kon vinden (was een beetje dement}, door de Duitsers is opgepakt en linea recta naar Medemblik is gebracht. Hier is hij in een psychiatrische inrichting opgesloten en daar ook overleden en begraven. Mijn grootmoeder heeft hem nooit meer terug gezien. Hoe mijn grootouders in Amsterdam terecht zijn gekomen is niet bekend. Daarvoor woonden zij in Zwolle. Waarschijnlijk in de buurt van hun zoon Marinus Germanus,die ook in Zwolle woonde. Mijn opa en oma hebben altijd gevaren. In hun rijke dagen hadden zij 2 schepen. Heel wat in die tijd. Mijn vader Hendrikus Germanus is vernoemd naar zijn broertje, het oudste kind van mijn grootouders. Hij s helaas op jonge leeftijd verdronken. Ik geloof dat ik nog ergens een foto van mijn grootmoeder heb. Als ik hem gevonden heb zal ik hem opsturen. Mijn roepnaam is Joop. De reden hiervan is dat mijn broer ook Roelof heet. Dit komt weer doordat mijn grootvader van vaders- en moederszijde allebei Roelof heten. In mijn familie barst het daardoor van de Roelofs. Grappig dat jij Roel heet, waarschijnlijk een afkorting van Roelof. Ik vind het leuk dat wij contact hebben.
