In het oude gemeentearchief van Belfeld (buurgemeente van Beesel-Reuver) stelde ik vast dat daar stukken aanwezig waren betreffende :
Elard Albert ROVERS, geb. 10-06-1848, oud lid van den Raad van Nederlansch Indië, thans zonder beroep, wonende te 's-Gravenhage
en diens broer
Govert Adrianus Johannes ROVERS, geb. 14-02-1855, tweede Luitenant Plaatselijk Adjudant te Venlo.

Onderzoek wees uit dat deze stukken bestonden uit :
- een notariële akte van notaris F.W. Vogels te Reuver dd. 14 augustus 1897, nr. 144, betreffende de jachtverpachting door de gemeente Belfeld aan de bovengenoemde heren ROVERS, waarbij het jachtrecht voor de gemeentegronden van de gemeente Belfeld voor de tijd van 6 opeenvolgende jaren worden verpacht voor de prijs van f. 120,-- per jaar.
- afschrift der vastgestelde voorwaarden van verpachting der jacht, opgemaakt in vergadering van B en W te Belfeld op 28 juli 1897
- goedkeuring van het raadsbesluit gemeente Belfeld door de Gedeputeerde Staten van het Hertogdom Limburg, dd. 23 juli 1897
- onderhandse akte dd. 20 augustus 1900 waarin de heren ROVERS het gemeentelijk jachtrecht van Belfeld overdragen aan de heren fabrikanten Alfred Russel en Eugène Caney
