Vroeger stond naast " Het Wapen van Wieringen" een huisje waar Jan Poppens en zijn vrouw woonden. Het was een naaischooltje. Later woonden er een Vrieling in.Hij had daar een groentehandel.
In 1932 hadde " De Gouden Ploeg M. minnes, J. Klein en B. Kraan dit gekocht en afgebroken. Het terreintje werd door hen verhuurd voor marktstallen. Op het bouwterrein is later een chocoladewinkel gebouwd. De bewoners waren de fam. J.
