Adriaan Noorthoorn, ~ 16.2.1707 Gorinchem, S.v. Hermannus Eymbertsz. van Noorthoorn, dieser Kapitän der Bürgerwacht von Gorinchem, später daselbst Eigentümer einer Brauerei nebst Grützerei, und Maria Elisabeth van Stockum, Bürger in Gorinchem[1], vielleicht identisch mit „Adrijaan Noorthoorn“, der Taufzeuge bei der am 19.6.1727 zu Rotterdam erfolgten Taufe der Aploonia van der Kruijft, T.v. Pieter van der Kruijft und der aus Gorinchem stammenden Jacmijna Noorthoorn[2], ist, bei seiner Heirat „Fähnrich in Dienst von Ihro HochMög: unter dem dem alhlhir in Garnison liegenden Regiment von dem Hrn. General Lieutenant de Vicouse“ zu Emden, am 12.11.1734 als Leutnant „ton dienste van Haar Hogmogende in’t Regiment van de Heer Colonel Marvillars“ zu Gorinchem[3] und am 9.11.1736 in der Garnison zu Maastricht nachweisbar und daher wohl Mitglied des niederländischen Infanterie Regiments IR 701c[4].

Seine wohl erste Frau:

Johanna Isabella Hilling, Tochter von Dr. iur. utr. Johannes Hilling, Bürgermeister in Emden, und der Elisabeth Matthaeus (aus Franeker), ~ 22.10.1710 Emden[5], 1731[6] und 1734 mit ihrem Ehemann Adrian in Gorinchem, Niederlande, ansässig, wo sie diesem am 30.10.1734 Vollmacht erteilt, um mit ihrer Schwester Sophia Elisabeth Hilling Vereinbarungen über bisher ungeteilte Güter des elterlichen Nachlasses zu treffen, legt – wohl zur Aufnahme in die reformierte Gemeinde – am 25.8.1735 in Gorinchem „belijdenis“ ab; 8 (19.5.1730 Eheprotokoll Emden, Rathaus) mit Adriaan Noorthoorn
