Op 2 mei 1941 in de oorlog werd een tweeling geboren. Het 9e en 10e kind van Roelof Johannes. De voorraad voornamen was een beetje uitgeput en het koningshuis werd als nieuwe bron aangeboord. Ze kregen de namen 'Willem Frederik Bernard Maurits Gustaaf' en 'Emma Wilhelmina Juliana Beatrix Irene'. Dit "Oranje boven" was in de oorlog een leuk gebaar TEGEN de bezetter, waar ze niets tegen konden ondernemen. De reacties op de geboorteaankondiging in "De Standaard" waren enorm. Uit het hele land stroomden gelukwensen en pakjes toe, vooral voorzien van héél, héél veel oranje!! Bron:- het boek "Van Schone Wille Zijn".
