Deze mensen waren de buren van mijn grootouders aan het Zuideropgaande (ik heb foto’s van het huisje van mijn opa en oma, van het huisje van fam. Lip is geen enkel beeldmateriaal). Mijn vroegste herinneringen waren het duwschip dat ’s ochtends vroeg de melkbussen ophaalde. Het opgaande is in 1957-1958 gedempt. Naar fam. Lip ging je over een smal bruggetje van 2 planken met een leuning erlangs “over de wieke”. Daar woonden inmiddels de zoon Jan Lip met zijn vrouw Martha Wobben en hun dochters Ida (1946) en Bertha (1949). Bertha heeft mij breien geleerd. Ze zijn halverwege de 60er jaren verhuisd naar Hoogeveen (Boekwijtlaan). Bertha is getrouwd met mijn zwager Eduard ze hebben een zoon Peter, die intussen getrouwd is en 2 zonen heeft. Bertha is in 2005 aan kanker overleden. Ze was 57 jaar. Jan Lip is vele jaren geleden overleden, Martha is dementerende en woont in Hoogeveen in een zorgcentrum. Vorig jaar is de echtgenoot van Ida (Kees Mulderij) aan prostaatkanker overleden. Van de gegevens van Jan Lip heb ik een uitdraai gemaakt voor mijn neef Peter. Hij zal dat wel interessant vinden.
