Op haar crematieplechtigheid kwamen bijna al haar neven, nichten en anderen die haar liefhadden, om haar de laatste eer en respect te betuigen. Tijdens de viering werden de teksten (welkom, levensloop en dankwoord) voorgelezen, die tante Agnes zelf had geschreven. Zij hield de volledige regie over haar leven én afscheid.
    Tijdens feesten werd steevast "Het De Witten lied" gezongen onder aanvoering van tante Agnes. Het startcomplet werd als eerbetoon voor haar gezongen tijdens de bijeenkomst na de formele plechtigheid.
