Oorthuys die mij een foto stuurde van een prent die een bomschuit vol mannen laat zien met een onderschrift dat erop neerkomt dat dit schip behouden in Scheveningen aankwam onder bevel van Stierman Sier Blok , deze tocht blijkt in februari 1799 plaatsgevonden te hebben . De prent hing bij mijn grootvader aan de muur en het verhaal erachter is dat Blok met zijn mensen door de Britten geconfisqueerd werd, krijgsgevangen genomen en later weer vrijgelaten , aldus de heer C.W. Oorthuys . Hier de gekopieerde tekst bij de prent van Sier Blok : Het gelukkig arriveeren van de Scheveningse Krijgsgevange Vissers van Engeland naar hun Vaderland op den 19e february 1799 met een pink gevoed door Stierman Sier Blok .
