Margaretha Gillot, die geboren was op 22 januari 1775, overleed op 2 januari 1852. Haar echtgenoot Wybren Tjerks Poppenga overleed op 23 april 1854. Hij was bijna 71 jaar oud. Het is één stèle, die
de graven van het echtpaar Poppenga-Gillot markeert. Bij de naam van Margaretha Gillot staat op de stèle vermeld: "welke hiernaast noordwaarts ligt begraven". De vraag rijst: wat heeft er op haar graf gestaan in de tijd tussen haar overlijden en dat van haar echtgenoot? De kinderen hebben op de steen een grafdicht op beide ouders laten aanbrengen.
