Notes about Ymkje Watzes

Ymkje hertrouwde in 1749 Symen Karstes, zoon van Karst Jans en Janke Symens (pl. 31). Dit echtpaar woont in 1756 op plaats 54. Daarna vertrekken zij naar plaats 14/15 te Haskerdijken. Volgens de proclamatieboeken overlijdt Symen omstreeks 1810. Zijn erfenis bedroeg 49.600 gulden (een groot bedrag, ondanks de inflatie). Erfgenamen waren de kinderen Karst Symens de Jong (pl. 56, later te Irnsum), Watse Symens Grasveld (pl.14/15 te Haskerdijken en in 1823 ongetrouwd te Nes overleden), Sjouke Symens Grasveld (pl. 14/15 te Haskerdijken) en Symen Aukes te Nes ( een zoon van Auke harings en wijlen Janke Symens; pl. 7 te Nes. Tot de nalatenschap behoort onder andere de helft van plaats 19 te Haskerdijken, een kwart van plaats 41 te Oldeboorn en 5/6 deel van plaats 21 te Nes, waarmee waarschijnlijk, plaats 10 aldaar (oude nummering) bedoeld is. Die plaats was door Karst en Watse in 1807 van Lycklama gekocht (M.Groen: Meiers...blz. 145).
