1773 woont buiten de Tolsteegpoort, Utrecht.


1775 koopt huis Vaartsen Rijn, Utrecht. Verkoopt dit in 1785.


Op HUW akte van zijn zoon: '...dat zijn vader in sep 1789 als militair naar Kaap de Goede Hoop is vertrokken en dat men na 't jaar 1800 twee geen berigt van dezelfde leven of dood heeft ontvangen'.


Via VOC register: in 1790 aangekomen in Batavia, aug 1792 uit dienst als vrijburger in Kaap de Goede Hoop. Zie doc.


Is in 1786 weer naar Holland gekomen, maar zie HUW ake van zoon; 'vanaf 1802 geen bericht nog levend nog dood ontvangen'
