Zij overleed als gevolg van een ongeval.Ze werd al sinds 1931 verpleegd in het psychiatrisch ziekenhuis te Franeker. Ze mocht zich vrij bewegen en werd ter hoogte van de inrichting gegrepen door twee auto's, omdat ze plotseling de weg opliep.
