Notes about Jan Hull (Teunis)

Volgens het boek "Geschiedenis van Terwolde en Nijbroek" door J. Vredenburg woonde hij op de Eeuwhorst en herbergde hij een stokoude vrouw "sonder 't minste bedrijf". Deze gegevens komen uit het haardstedenregister van 1749.

De Eeuwhorst is al een oude boerderij:
In het archief van Ter Hunepe, een klooster/abdij, dat vroeger ten zuidoosten van Deventer aan de Schipbeek heeft gelegen, bevindt zich een stuk van 1449 waarin Lubbert Huyginck verklaart dat hij en zijn erfgenamen als bezitters van het erve Yeworst het klooster Ter Hunnepe vrij zullen houden van tol bij de Joke, en bij de brug, die aldaar over de Wetering gemaakt is.

Het klooster Monnikhuizen bij Arnhem was een Karthuizer klooster, dat in 1342 gesticht werd met gelden, die Reinoud II beschikbaar had gesteld.
Veel hoeven en landerijen in Nijbroek behoorden hiertoe.
In 1600 wordt een bouwing vermeld van 33 morge" groot, die we in 1650 terug vinden als "Douwhorst", dat is het erve Eeuwhorst aan de Veluwse Dijk.
In 1651 heet het "Iwerskamp"
