1783: De diakonie van Oldenzaal verkoopt Steenhof voor 3515 gl aan Jan Lesscher (de latere echtgenoot van Johanna Steenhof).
Jan kan de 3515 gl nog niet betalen en leent 2500 gl .
Koopman Bernard Nijenhuis uit Oldenzaal, vanwie Lesscher het geld leende, krijgt tienden uit Steenhof.
1787: Van Rensen zegt aan Lesscher, koper van het Steenhof, dat hij nog jaarlijks aan de proostdij van Oldenzaal 100 gl moet geven en aan Nagel 9 gl vuurstedengeld van vorig jaar .
In 1788 wijst Van Rensen Steenhof er op, dat hij 52 gl aan Helena Duivelshof moet betalen. (betreft een wekelijks legaat tot mei 1787).

1788: Lesscher vraagt hout tot optrek van zijn huis. Hij heeft het door een timmerman laten opnemen. Het hout wordt toegewezen
