Klaas werd op 16 aug.1850 geb.te Nw .Niedorp.
Zijn vader was Cornelis en zijn moeder Antje Koster.
Klaas was de vierde zoon in het gezin.
Na hem kwam nog een jongetje en ten slotte, in 1854 na 5 jongens een meisje.
Vader was lid van de doopsgezinde gemeente.Hij was landman.
Klaas woonde aanvankelijk in wijk F. Moerbeek.In 1864 stond hij te boek als scholier.In 1868 woonde hij in Barsingerhorn om in 1876 in Nw .Niedorp neer te strijken als landbouwer, waarschijnlijk aan de Langereis. nr. 39.
Hij was getrouwd met Trijntje Bier, geb.9 oct. 1854. Zij kwam uit Nieuwe Niedorp. Zij is niet oud geworden. Ze overleed op 28 febr.1887. Het gezin telde 2 kinderen. Dochter Trijntje van mei 1876, die overleed al in sept.van datzelfde jaar, zoon Cornelis van juli 1877 en dochter Trijntje uit jan.1880 Het gezin was Ned hervormd.
Klaas trouwde voor de tweede keer op 6 aug. 1891 met Diewertje Hoogland uit Hoogwoud, die in aug.1892 in Nieuwe Niedorp kwam wonen. Klaas is raadslid geweest van 1902....tot 1918. In nov,1937 verhuisde hij met vrouw naar Oudorp bij Alkmaar.
