Harmina (or Minnie) Rooks-Windemuller, the wife of Evert Windemuller.
She was born in the Netherlands on May 27, 1842; got married at age 29 on July 13, 1871; had 10 children (including 1 set of twins and 1 set of triplets, none of whom survived past infancy), and immigrated to the USA in 1882 with her husband & children where she then had another child.
She died on February 03, 1936 in Holland, Michigan -- after having been a widow for about 37 years.
Hand-written on the back of this photo are the phrases "Grandmother Windemuller, my father Fred's Mother, Herman E. Windemuller"
So. how did MY Grandma get this picture? I don't know! But I'm thrilled -- because Minnie & I have the same birthday (just 107 years apart!)--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
