Notes about Henricus Bernard Timmer

Op 13 augustus 1852 koopt Hindrik Berents Timmer uit Mussel “de vaste, altoos durende en onopzegbare beklemming van een stuk hooi- en heideland”. Het gaat om ca.1,5 bunderland, dat behoort bij de bezittingen van de pastorie van de Ned. Herv. Kerk te Onstwedde: “sedert onheugelijke jaren rustig en ongestoord bezeten”. Timmer betaalt ƒ10 voor de aanschaf van het perceel en de jaarlijkse pacht, te betalen aan de predikant van de kerk, bedraagt ƒ20,-. In de akte worden een hoop zaken geregeld, o.a. de toestemming om op het perceel een huis te bouwen (bronRHCGrA122-116-141). Volgens de omschrijving op een tekening uit 1858 is het een hut geworden. Niet voor lang. De hut wordt afgebroken en wordt dichter aan de “straatweg” weer opgebouwd en krijgt dan de benaming “huis” (bron: Kadastrale Legger ONS 539-17), Musselweg 13, Mussel

pan>Hindrik Timmer heeft zo zijn eigen regels; het lukt hem om de ambtenaren van de Burgerlijke Stand om de tuin te leiden. Ze zijn niet gehuwd, maar dat verzwijgt hij bij de aangifte van zijn kinderen; ze krijgen allemaal de achternaam Timmer. Waarschijnlijk zijn ze tegen de lamp gelopen, want jaren later trouwen ze alsnog en worden de kinderen officieel gewettigd.
