Janwillem Sandker schrijft: RA VI E dl 3. Op 16-5-1803 kopen

vader Berend Hendrik Drenth en zijn vrouw Lientje Berends Bondrager een behuizing, tuin en scheepstimmerhelling (werf) met desselvs gereedschappen, alles staande en gelegen ter Oude Pekela op nr. 5 en 6 ZK. Stadsgr., bezwet ten noorden het hoofddiep, oost Wijcher Cornellis, zuid de wijk W. Lammert Jans de Jonge en Conss., met alles wat daaraan aard, wortel en nagelvast is, exemt het schip op de helling zittende, het welk met zes weken na dato dezes zal moeten zijn weggenomen, voor de som van 3742.10 gulden, zijnde onder deze som begrepen zodane 528 gulden, als waarop de bovengen: gereedschappen tot de schipstimmerhelling behorende door twee deskundige en onpartijdige mannen zijn getaxeerd geworden. 

RA VI E dl. 3. Op 22-8-1804 verkoopt de scheepstimmermansvaas Berend Hendriks Drent aan de schipper Berend Otten een smakschip-hol, de "Vrouw Anna" gent., fris van de bijl, . . . . lang over zijn stevens 78 vt., wijd 17 3/4 vt., hol 8 1/2 vt., voor de som van 5425 gulden.

Op 18-4-1806 wordt het smakschip "Juffrouw Eke Busemans" aan kapitein Berend Lubbers verkocht, voor de som van 5900 gulden plus een pistool (Spaanse gouden munt) en een ducaat.

Testament van vader Bernardus Hindriks Drenth:

"Dat de gemelde overledene heeft nagelaten, de helft der volgende met onze nog in leven zijnde moeder en grootmoeder Helena Berends Bondrager, staande huwelijk, in gemeenschap bezeten hebbende onroerende goederen, als tuin, bergplaats,

huis en erf en drie kampen weiland, staande en gelegen nabij het middelste verlaat te Oude Pekela, Zuidkant van het

hoofddiep, bij het kadaster bekend sectie C nummers 1036, 1037, 1037, 1039, 1040 en 4041, tezamen groot 99 roeden 80 ellen, het huis geteekend no. 264."
