Notes about Jean CHANGUION

Changuion is een Nederlandse familie waarvan een lid in 1815 in de Nederlandse adel werd verheven en die in 1825 daaruit werd geroyeerd.

Geschiedenis
De stamreeks begint met Jean Changuion die omstreeks 1660 in Vitry werd geboren en in Halle (Saale) in 1700 werd begraven. Zijn zoon François (1694-1777) werd poorter en boekverkoper te Amsterdam en richtte daar in 1724 een drukkerij op. Zijn kleinzoon François Daniël (1766-1850) werd in 1814 in de Nederlandse adel verheven waardoor hij en zijn nakomelingen het predicaat van jonkheer en jonkvrouw mochten voeren. Wegens een onterend vonnis werd hij echter in 1825 geroyeerd uit de Nederlandse adel en werd bepaald dat adeldom alleen overging op zijn afstammelingen voor zover geboren voor 27 februari 1823.
