2.On May 8, 1906, a Dutch couple Wibbe and Hilje [*KAMP] BOUMA and their 17 years old son Pieter BOUMA arrived in New York, with their son and brother J. BOUMA, Kalamazoo (*County), MI, as destination. Wibbe BOUMA was a 56 years old merchant, and his wife Hilje (KAMP) BOUMA was 57 years old.
As a 20 years old farmer's servant Wibbe BOUMA born about 1850, in Oldendorp, Uithuizen, Groningen, as son of the day laborer Jan BOUMA and Bouke Hindriks MARING married on May 17, 1871, in Uithuizermeeden, (certificate no. 13), to the 23 years old farmer's maid Hilje KAMP, born about 1847, in Oosternieland, Uithuizermeeden, as daughter of Pieter Wigger KAMP and Martje Lammerts WERKMAN.
On May 19, 1877 the couple lost a 5 years old daughter Bouke BOUMA, born about 1871, in Oosternieland, Uithuizermeeden, and also died there.
Hilje KAMPs mother Martje Lammerts WERKMAN was a daughter of Lammert Pieters WERKMAN and Hilje BONNES [*BONNEMA].
