Trouwde in 1856 met Hindrik Negen, waarschijnlijk omdat Zwaantje werd verwacht.
Trouwde in 1874 met Berend Westerman, ze was al 45, terwijl Berend 21 was!
Haar enige dochter Zwaantje was op dat moment 25, waarom trouwde die niet met Berend? Vier jaar later trouwde Zwaantje met Tiddo Menninga en emigreerde later naar Michigan.
