In de transcriptie van het doopboek staande achternamen tussen haakjes wat kan wijzen op veronderstelling van de achternaam.
Bij overlijden dochter Guurtje in 1829 wordt de naam Oldenburg vermeld.

Op 6 juni 1767 is er een testament van Jan van Boven en deselve huijsvrouw Maartje Cornelis Schotvanger te Limmen.
Dit zou er op kunnen wijzen dat de naam Schotvanger niet juist is.
