    Das von Ihnen erwähnte Thalheim ist mit Sicherheit die Gemeinde Thalheim im Kanton Aargau. http://map.search.ch/thalheim-ag; http://www.gemeinde-thalheim.ch/
    Der Kanton Aargau wurde erst 1803 gegründet. Der westliche Teil des Kantons stand von 1415 bis 1798 unter Verwaltung des Kantons Bern. Auch Thalheim gehörte damals zum bernischen Oberamt Schenkenberg. Der Stadtstaat Bern stellte hier über Jahrhunderte den Landvogt. Nebst dem aargauischen Thalheim gibt es auch im Osten der Schweiz einen Ort dieses Namens und zwar im Kanton Thurgau. Der Kantons Thurgau stand bis 1798 unter gemeineidgenössischer Herrschaft, die von den Kantonen entsandten Landvögte wechselten im Zweijahreszyklus.
    Es darf daher angenommen werden, dass Ihr Vorfahre aus dem aargauischen Thalheim stammte.
