Notes about Thomas Hanbury Joseph Mary Fox

Thomas Henry was a mattress maker & market gardener. He enlisted in the Princess Patricia Canadian Light Infantry in 1916. He served in the Battle of Ypres (Somme) and died, lost in battle, at Passchendaele, Belgium.
The family of Thomas Henry also lived on Cornwall St.
After Thomas was killed in WW1, his children asked to attend the public school system rather than the RC school. They attended the local Methodist church. Charles James became an ordained minister in the United Church of Canada (Methodist, Presbyterian & Congregational).
Initially, the only data that we had of Thomas' family was the obituary of Henry Edward Fox. Thomas was killed in WW1 in 1917. Although his family lived near Henry Edward and Sarah, they had both died by 1915. The children of Thomas were Roman Catholic, but they converted to Methodist in their early teens. From that time on the family were somewhat distanced from them and the family history was lost.
