Garnizoensplaats Saint Omer. Opgericht 18-8-1810 uit 2e reg. de ligne Hollandes en 2e bataljon van 6e reg. infanterie van linie. Polotsk 1812, Berezina 1812, Lutzen 1813. Tussen juni 1812 en juli 1814 5.000 soldaten erbij, vnl. uit Nederland. 1.660 manschappen en 68 officieren trekken Rusland in, met onderweg versterkingen (+3 + 106). Na de slag bij de Berezina (26 tot 29 november 1812) zijn alle officieren dood of gevangengenomen. In juli 1814 wordt het regiment opgeheven.

Dit regiment van Hollandse jongens, dienstplichtig zodra ze de leeftijd van 20 bereikten, vochten zonder uitzondering in Rusland.Het 123e, 124e en 125e linieregiment infanterie, het 33e regiment lichte infanterie, het 3e regiment grenadiers van de Keizerlijke Garde en het 2e regiment lansiers van de Keizerlijke Garde leden daar zware verliezen. Hierdoor was het dodental onder de soldaten uit de Hollandse departementen relatief gezien hoog.
