rIn 1890 kwamen 168 vreemden in het veengebied van Nieuw Weerdinge werken. Dezelfde plaatsen waren nu weer vertegenwoordigd, waarbij opviel, dat De Wilp nu 25 en Ruinen 18 personen "leverde". Bovendien kwamen er nu ook arbeiders uit Zevenhuizen (12), Zuidbroek (5) en uit het Duitse Ost Friesland kwamen 3 arbeiders hun geluk in Nieuw Weerdinge beproeven. Er kwamen ook steeds meer veenboeren in onze richting. Het complete lijstje anno 1890 ziet er als volgt uit:
