Anna Marchand behoorde alvorens bij de Franciscanessen van Charitas te horen, bij de Congregatie van de Gasthuiszusters te Roosendaal.
Deze zusters werden in 1905 ingelijfd door de congregatie van de Franciscanessen van Charitas, waarmee ze dus tot Charitas ging behoren.
Marchand had de kloosternaam zuster Maria Josephine, trad in op 14 juni 1868, werd gekleed op 2 juli 1868 en deed in professie op 2 juli 1869.
In 1881 werd ze overste van de Zusters van het Gasthuis, deze functie beklede ze nog steeds op het moment van inlijving in 1905. - Religion: R.K.
