Rinse Johannes is de zoon van Johannes Jeppes, dijkgraaf van Collumerlant, gehuwd met Antie Cornelis (Weesboek Kollumerland P26, folio 523). Hij bewoonde de state Temme-Bosch ten oosten van Kollum, welke state hij vermaakte aan zijn kleinzoon Johannes Lieuwes Siccama. In de Hervormde kerk te Kollum bevindt zich de Rinse Johannesbank met de datum 1692, ook wel Temmebank genoemd, een herenbank met als opschrift RINSE IOHANNES BYSITTER VAN COLUMERLANT ENT NIEU CRVISLANT; en het wapen: links : halve adelaar; rechts: boven vijf-puntige ster en onder drie klaverbladen.
Rinse bewoonde in 1698 de boerderij Temmebosch, voorheen eigendom van Tamme Rompts
