Zelf zegt Janna geboren te zijn in 1913 te Dumont Iowa USA. Vreemd als haar ouders uit Vlagtwedde komen. ??
In de kantlijn van hun huwelijksakte staat dat het huwelijk in 14-12-1953 is ontbonden.

Zoekende naar informatie hoe Janna in USA geboren kan zijn, stuiten we op een vermelding voor een scheepsreis in 1912 van Jan, Mina en Tetje Jongeling van Vriescheloo naar USA.
met de boot de Noordam zijn ze gereisd.
Ze gaan naar een oom die in Kesley Iowa woont. Dumont is maar 15 min rijden van Kesley. Dus verhaal is zeer aannemelijk.

De Noordam is dezelfde boot waarmee Pietertje Vos en Lammert de Vries in 1920 naar Amerika emigreerden.
