De enige persoon met die naam en in de omgeving is een jonker Gerrit van Eck, gehuwd met jonkvrouwe Alit Ruijsch, ofschoon voor een relatie geen bewijs gevonden is, merk ik toch op dat in het oud-rechtelijk archief van Kortenhoef een acte voorkomt, gedateerd 29 maart 1592 waarin compareert jonkvrouwe Alit Ruijsch. weduwe en boedelhoudster van Jonker Gerrit van Ecjk zie GN 1999 p. 188.
