Hugo van Auxerre was een jongere zoon van Koenraad I van Auxerre en Adelheid. Hij werd abt van Saint-Germain van Auxerre en volgde in 866 zijn vader op als graaf van Auxerre. Zijn dochter Petronella trouwde in 878 met Ingelgerius , eerste graaf van Anjou. (bron: nl.wikipedia.org)
