MARIA was a "werkvrouw" (woman labourer). Her second husband BRUNO was one of the eight fishermen who lost their lives on 18-2-1807. His ship was stranded on the coast near the mouth of the Eems river in the North Sea, and he had died of hunger andcold, as was written down by "pastoor" Doorenweerd in his diary.
